What’s in a name?

vi·sion (noun) – The act or power of seeing or conceiving: a gift of unusual discernment or foresight <a person of vision; a visionary>: something seen in a dream, trance or ecstasy, especially: an appearance that conveys a revelation: a thought, concept or object formed by the imagination.

quest (noun) – An act or instance of seeking <a pursuit; a search>: when a person or group of persons search, make inquiry or investigate something of significance: a chivalrous enterprise in medieval romance usually involving an adventurous journey.

The essence of what a vision quest is and why it is considered sacred to many is the very impetus behind our company – It represents a yearning for higher knowledge and a heartfelt desire to reconnect with the Divine (the spark of God) which burns within every living being and creature.

Visionquest Management, LLC is a talent management firm founded in 2006 by Arjuna Somaru, an entertainment industry executive from Los Angeles, California (see Executive page).  We believe that entertainers have a tremendous influence on society and, therefore, a great responsibility as well.  Through the powerful and inspirational elements of music, film and the written and spoken word, we connect with people in ways they can understand and relate to.

One of our key objectives is to inspire and challenge our audiences to look within and explore themselves.  We encourage them, that it is all right to love and respect oneself.  We know that once they find or re-kindle their ability to be the best they can be, they will experience more joy and fulfillment in their own lives and naturally radiate this feeling into the lives of others.  As more and more people do this and cultivate their own unique gifts or purposes in life, they can share them with others, and so on...  In this wonderful chain reaction or 'domino effect,' everyone can contribute to bringing about a positive, lasting change in our world – via the raising of mass consciousness.

To this end, our mission is multifaceted, yet straight forward:

• Develop and manage artists, writers and entertainment projects that promote self improvement, spiritual growth, foster cultural acceptance and interaction, and deepen the level of appreciation and sense of stewardship towards our beautiful planet, Earth.

• Show people how to appreciate and celebrate the things we have in common, as Citizens of Earth, as opposed to what makes us different from one another – the 'us and them' mentality.
  

• Heighten the collective, social awareness regarding issues and concerns that we share as one people on one planet. 

• Harness the power and influence of the mainstream entertainment industry – film and music –  and direct more of its attention, vision and resources towards the raising of artistic and spiritual integrity within the work it produces.
